Our Founder
Ahaan Jaisinghani
Hi!
I’m Ahaan Jaisinghani, a high school student who is extremely passionate about horses. I’m also an avid reader and I enjoy playing chess and basketball occasionally. I have been riding since I was 3 years old and I’m currently competing at the national level. During this time, I have noticed how being around horses can have a healing as well as a calming effect on people. With this program, I hope to help children with special needs through the medium of horses.
Helping Hooves is an organization that aims to help children with special needs through equine therapy by making them interact with and ride horses.
Our
Mission
Our
Vision
The idea of Helping Hooves is to help special needs children through the medium of horses. Horse riding can be beneficial for special needs children in a number of ways such helping improve their physical well-being, building their self-esteem and helping the children manage their emotions in a better way.
It can also help stimulate their cognitive development(memory, concentration and problem-solving skills) in addition to teaching them empathy and kindness.
Further, it can also provide a calming environment for the children, helping them decompress from their daily struggles while also being a fun activity for them.
This program will take special needs children for horse riding once every two weeks where they will learn how to ride as well as just interact and spend time with horses.
